(Burger King was, in fact, a team in the Morristown American Little League). And there is something incredibly 1980s about the fact that we were a team named after a chemical manufacturer playing a team named after a fast food restaurant.
It was a setup. He probably had to fire him, even though he knew the lawsuit is coming. That said - 60 Minutes has a history of clashes between Don Hewitt (the first EP) and his correspondents. It's just sort of the style there. But he took the bait, which maybe is actually worse than not firing him now that I think about it.
There was a great PBS documentary called 90 Minutes on 60 Minutes that somehow doesn't exist online that had some good scenes of Hewitt and Mike Wallace going at it.
That Solstice video certainly wins the award for adjectives per second. I can't wait to tell Sadie she was 'born from a unifying purpose." And, I guess, Ben.
